In 1964, a new kind of Japanese bike comes to the US. The new Hodaka is designed in America, and built in Japan.

For the first four years, between 1964 and 1968, Hodaka makes just one bike, the Ace 90. It’s a tough little two-stroke, with chrome tank and lots of engineering built-in. Hodaka’s far-flung corporate structure and quirky advertising earn it a place in the hearts of many off-roaders. Hodaka even advertises just engines, if that’s all you need for your motorbike project.
